How Do I Join?

Thank you for thinking about it! Until we officially launch next year we’re having pocket events such as worship nights, homeless outreach, dinner parties, grill n chills, and just having fun hanging out, and connecting. And guess what? We’re building a team of about 100 people to kickstart the church!

When you’re a part of the team, we’ll help each other grow, have a community, and make an impact in people’s lives together. We want to be known for what we do as much as for what we say. We’re calling it the “Launch Team” because, just like launching a ship, starting a church needs energy! You’re even welcome to join right now if you’re ready!

What Will #teamLGCY Be Doing?

Our aim is not just to assign tasks, but to invest in your growth and development to serve in different roles. This could range from helping with setting up now and then, to more involved roles like leading a dinner party.

Here’s a short list of the initial teams we’re forming:

  • Set-up/ Teardown
  • Greeters
  • Kid’s Ministry
  • Hospitality (for those who love welcoming people!)
  • Connections (helping people get involved)
  • Worship band (for musicians)
  • Social Media
  • Outreach
  • Video
  • Safety

Scripture teaches that the Holy Spirit gifts everyone to spread the message of Jesus and shine His light as the city on a hill. He empowers each member of the church body with different gifts to share the Gospel and bring glory to God the Father.

So Why Should I Join?

Who has had the most positive impact on you? It’s likely those who were there for you, not just for themselves.

In today’s world, helping others is often seen as being weak. But Jesus saw it differently. He believed that helping others was a way to spread His, and He exemplified that in His own life. The King of everything—God in human form—humbled Himself to wash His disciples’ feet.

This is why we’re all about getting involved in serving and changing lives through the local church.

Being part of a new church is not just fun and exciting, it’s something bigger. It’s reaching the lost, teaching God’s word, and loving our city.
